Conservation 3D Scanning
Refinery’s 3D digital scanning creates a production grade digital record of ornate features, which has a wide variety of uses across restoration, conservation, research and education.
These highly accurate digital records offer a practical route for precise and efficient repair or reinstatement in the event of loss or damage.

Conservation consultancy and inspection
Refinery’s digital services and traditional craftsmanship in carving and joinery is all underpinned by an extensive knowledge of the conservation of historic woodwork.
Our traditional carver, Matt Bateman has build up extensive knowledge over the past 15 years and has provided consultancy services on projects including The Master’s Lodge at Trinity College, Cambridge.
Refinery offers the inspection of timber structures, fine joinery and ornate features and can offer everything from advice on minor repairs to consultency on conservation approaches in major projects.
